Valtronics, Inc. was founded by Walter F. Gerhold in 1985. Ken Thompson, Vice President became co-owner in 1986. Walter Gerhold retired in January, 1990 and became consulting project engineer for Valtronics, Inc. In January 1990, Ken and Brenda Thompson purchased Valtronics, Inc. and became President and Vice President and sole owners.
Valtronics, Inc. is a manufacturer's representative, representing 25+ of the most respected manufacturing companies in the industry. Our product lines complement each other to enable us to service all our customers. From single valve replacement to the largest engineered project, we've done it, successfully, on time and within budget. From engineering and design, manufacture and start-up to training our customer's personnel on operation and maintenance, Valtronics has the experience, dedication and determination to meet and exceed their expectations.
Value added services include automation, rebuilding and testing valves in the field or in our shop, building control panels, and customizing buildings for housings - including installation. Among other products, we manufacture to customer specs, gas monitoring equipment.
We at Valtronics, Inc. feel it is important to provide the best facility possible to make this an enjoyable place to work for all involved and hope the staff at Valtronics take great pride in all they have accomplished. With this in mind, we have completed our new 15,000 square foot facility that contains one of the largest inventories in the area, along with a Dezurik authorized valve automation and repair shop with factory trained personnel, which enables us to assemble valves with the required components, calibrate and test these valves to the customer's specifications. We employ factory trained sales specialists which enables us to analyze applications, make improvement recommendations and maximize instrumentation and control system capabilities.
We have protected territory of West Virginia, and the bordering counties of Ohio, Kentucky and Virginia. We service all industries, mining, chemical, water and waste water, steel, power, natural gas, Municipal and HVAC, petroleum, food, underground water distribution, cement, fabricated metal, machinery, transportation, irrigation and Government. We are a licensed West Virginia contractor, and currently our staff includes a registered professional engineer, a master electrician, three factory trained and certified people who meet ISO 9000. Valtronics, Inc. is "on-line" with many of our manufacturers, which enables us to have instant access to valuable information needed to place and track orders quickly and better service our customers.
EDI "Electronic Data Interchange II" increases our productivity, reduces paperwork, and keeps the cost of doing business lower. This service is available to all our customers. We also accept Visa, Master Card and American Express. We are a stocking representative, with a very large inventory on site to enable us to service our customers in a timely manner. This allows us to offer value-added service that the non-stocking competitors cannot provide. We also build natural gas measurement tubes in sizes 2 through 12 inches and build skid meter houses. We have a welder certified with Dominion, Columbia Gas, Cabot Gas and Kentucky-West Virginia Gas Companies. We supply training seminars to our customers at our facility or at their location to enable them to better operate and maintain their equipment. Valtronics is dedicated to providing factory trained office and field personnel to ensure that the customer receives optimum results with information, installation, and products provided.
